I´d like to tell you about my last holiday in Tunesia. I went to Tunesia for a week with my mother, brother…..

First we drove to the Munich airport by bus. At the airport we had only a short time to wait, because the bus arrived just in time. The check-in was very quick. As the plain was almost empty we had a free choose of seats. The flight took two hours. Form Tunis airport to the hotel we went by bus. This journey took one and a half hours. The hotel had five stars and a lot of rooms. Because we were four persons we got a small suite with two bedrooms. The weather was almost great! As the temperature was warm we started a walk along the beach at the next morning. During the next days we had a lot of fun by playing beachvolleyball, boule and soccer.

We were very sad when we had to leave Tunesia after one week. The flight back was very calm, but we had a delay of two hours. I`d like to make another trip to Tunesia, because we had a great time down there.

Grand Canyon

I´d like to tell you something about the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Arizona has 1.5 million habitants and is the fifth biggest state ot the USA. The local time is MEZ - 8h. That means if it´s 10 o´clock am in germany it will be 2 o´clock am in arizona (at night). For example: If you want to call your friend in Phoenix at 12:00 o`clock pm you must start to dial at 04:00 o´clock am. The Grand Canyon nationalpark was established in 1919. It´s one of the most visited Parks of Amerika. In million of years the waterpower of the colorado river formed the Grand Canyon. The origin of the name Colorado is “coloured” (in german: “farbig”) because the water of the river is blue and green - so the native americans called it coloured. The gap of the Canyon is between 6 and 30 km wide; 1600 m deep and approximatly 160 km long inside the park - outside it´s much longer-. Normally it´svery dusty and hot in the summer (nearly 100°F or 40°C). Sometimes it´s rainy but not often. In the Canyon it´s always 10°C hotter than outside of the Canyon. The maximum temperature in the canyon is up to 40°C. As the weather is dominated by the desert nearby there is a very very very low air humidity. In the wintertimes it´s very cold there. In the Grand Canyon are living 60 diffrent mammalialtyps, much of this are nightactive. For example: The favourit activities in the nationalpark are hiking, horse riding and canoeing. But the new buildt skywalk is one of the biggest attractions in the Grand Canyon Nationalpark! Who want to enjoy these perspective must be free from giddiness. 1200 m about the abysm, you can look through a glas to see the great blue - green colorado river.I would like to do the skywalk one day. Even if it’s a bit scary to me. I imagine this is like hovering obove the canyon A little information at the ending: The glas that they use to build the 25 million$ exclusive skywalk is from germany!
